Classroom
Children sit at tables and learn to work and play in small groups and respect each others efforts. Literacy skills are developed through colouring, tracing, phonics and a pre-reading scheme. Maths skills are taught through the use of practical activities, games, puzzles and a planned numeracy programme. Monthly theme work promotes interest in a wide range of topics such as France, Dinosaurs, Space.

Our goal is to help each child to acquire a readiness for learning through the ability to listen, participate and master the necessary skills needed before moving into Infant school. In the library corner the children choose books and sit together to listen to a story or share ideas.
