We have kicked off the new term with a new theme of “Stories: Old and New”. The children have been sharing their favourite stories with us during circle time sessions and it’s clear that many of them already have a love of reading. We have been lucky to have a number of the preschool parents come in to read books to the group and we will be continuing to do this for the rest of the term.Classic children stories have... read more

However, since then rehearsals took a new turn and our final run throughs were a huge success. Many of the children have excitedly told us about their costumes and are clearly looking forward to showing them off on... read more

Bread-gehogs

Over the past two weeks the children have been talking about woodland animals and have impressed us with their understanding of what nocturnal and hibernation means.  During our cooking session the children baked a Mount Carmel classic – hedgehog bread rolls – by kneading, rolling and snipping dough into little hedgehogs.  The younger children didn’t miss out on the fun and made their own spikey pets out of play dough and spaghetti. Throughout the week there were lots more hedgehog themed arts and... read more
